In Development Encrypted Text Vending
Encrypted text. Lightning payment. Automatic delivery. No accounts. No custody. No trace.
Ghost Paper is a vending machine for secrets. Write anything — a seed phrase, an invite code, a script, a message. Encrypt it in your browser. Set a price in sats. Share the link. The buyer pays Lightning. The payment preimage decrypts. The server forgets.
The Protocol
- • Ephemeral by design. Content shreds on delivery — or in 24 hours, whichever comes first.
- • Zero-knowledge by construction. The server holds only ciphertext. The payment preimage is the decryption key. A subpoena reveals nothing.
- • No account required. Sellers identify by Lightning address. Buyers identify by payment. Neither party registers.
- • Tor-first. Clearnet and
.onion— same API, no IP logging, no referrer tracking. - • Self-hosted. Deployable via @sageleaf/server-standup. Your node. Your keys. Your jurisdiction.
"A dead drop protocol for text: encrypted content sits on the server until payment unlocks it. Math and law reign there — not platform policy, not payment processors, not politics."
